There are many decent rinks in the city but this one was seriously worn down.
Thick puck marked plywood boards were only found on each end of the rink - no sides but snow. Decent ice but makeshift nevertheless.
I have to mention the dilapidated net as seen on this end. At least it had a partial net - the other end wasn't even the same shape and/or size and didn't even have a net.
However sad the equipment was in this neighbourhood, it did not deter the players. Fun was the only thing that mattered for all.
