Extremely fresh ingredients - served at the perfect slightly cool temperature.
I had the traditional frikadeller smørrebrød (middle) and the roast beef smørrebrød (back) and they were fantastic.
For dessert, I had Aebleskiver (puffed pancake balls - not shown - ate them all :) with a light dusting of powered sugar. They look like Timbits but have a light density and are barely sweet. They can also be served with a light coating of fresh berry jam.
And then, someone told me that I should visit the basement of a white bungalow house through the side entrance. A Danish baker based out of Toronto sets up shop on the first Sunday of every month (except February) and serves a mountain of choice d baked goods combined with imported authentic Danish canned/jarred goods.
Well there goes my diet for the next few years...
