http://timestop.zenfolio.comWoke up at 5:30 AM one Saturday morning. Gorgeous spring weather and the early birds were signing the beginning of the day at dawn. When bored with life, I go take photos.
Had to hoof it early since people with their dogs would not be silent and chase the wildlife away on the bends of the might Grand River.
Got lucky for my troubles - less than a handful of souls and dogs and got that early morning golden light. Perfectly directional for getting catchlights in the birds eyes as they survey their domain - no flash used.
Not a lot of keepers in this series - flighty little buggers these tree swallows but adorably photogenic but the worse were the yellow warblers - never stop their chases long enough to nail a shots in between branches.
Had to crop the shots like mad since I was using a 70-200 mm but the keepers are little memorable gems that still sing in my mind when I view them - just like the early birds of Snyder's Flats.
