My original intent was to go to the Niagara Parks Butterfly Conservatory and capture photos of butterflies but upon arriving to the site, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the conservatory was actually part of a greater botanical gardens complex.

And it so happens that my Nikkor 105 mm f2.8 VR II macro lens was also the lens of choice for the shots I now had in mind.

The sun was now out after a 2 hour hide behind the clouds - perfect timing for some great shots.
