Aug 22 2010 - It was a Sunday evening in a make-shift small concert room (due to the pouring rain outside) in the Rockway Retirement Hall in Kitchener, Ontario.

A great acoustic blues and folk music show featuring Juno award nominee (twice) Suzie Vinnick (on acoustic guitar) and the amazing Roly Platt on harmonica delighted and entertained the crowd that braved the weather to come and see them both play.

I met Suzie a few years ago on a chance meeting and I remembered her leaving me a great impression and when I heard she would be in town, I thought I would surprise her and listen to her and Roly play live in a small intimate setting.

Suzie's voice is vibrant, full of life - it's if as both honey and gold was being poured into your ears and she plays great guitar. Juxtapose against this, Roly's fiery harmonica runs and solos that left me and crowds equally as impressed and you've got a very potent brew going on.

I thought I would stretch myself from a photography standpoint and shoot my first ever concert performance and both were very gracious with their time and I thank them both - I really appreciated their show and I hope they (and you all) dig my photos of the event.
