Surf, waves pounding both shores - coming together from both east and west and crashing into each other served to render the ever-shifting tip much shorter this year than other years according to the locals.
All merely inches from my feet.
It it is also a graveyard for ships and people - Men, women and children have died - also inches from my feet - drawn and pulled away by deceptively strong currents and the occasional rogue waves driven by high winds.
Amidst all the past dramas and current warnings, I absolutely had to keep an eye out at all times while photographing...
