It's tricky to hold some sort of acceptable focus lock on a flight of cormorans whipping over head - especially for a slow long zoom lens that slowly "hunts" for correct focus a lot.
Absolutely maddening but a photographer works with what he's got - not with what he wishes he had.
Like a Nikon D700 with an AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 200-400mm f/4G IF-ED (2.0x) lens.
Drool.
Anyone got 12K to spare for that combo ?
Update : Early Sept 2009 - I now have the Nikon D700. I'm broke but happy. Another few years till I can afford the 200-400 mm super zoom...
