A September Weekend Along Lake Huron

Photos and texts by Pascal Sauvé (Kitchener, Ontario)

Even though this shot was taken at almost 10 PM, a strong full moon behind me gave me enough light for this long exposure.

Note that to help accentuate the foreground (rocks closest to the edge of the shore), I used a big flashlight and lightpainted the waves in a wild pattern close to shore.

The warm golden pattern was thus created by leaving my camera with an A2 white balance.

I had fun building this shot and i'm very pleased with the result.
