A photo walk tends to be a solitary experience but on that day, a wonderful exception occured.

Trying to figure out the ownership of a different dog (a lost Bernese Mountain dog) while walking a local trail by a stream, I encountered Charlie and her owner, a nice young lady.

And so we tacitly decided to walk together and keep each other company on a sunny but cool spring day while trying to figure out , in puzzlement, to whom the lost Bernese Mountain dog belonged to. The lost dog finally walked off not to be seen again minutes later.

We socialized while walking and pausing for me to take photos of items of interest from time to time and Charlie also was pausing to sit quiet and well behaved without warning in the middle of a walk until she was good and ready to continue walking again.

Thanks to her owner, I've discovered and expanded a new part of my neighborhood, had a lovely conversation and with her owner's permission, took this great photo of a wonderful dog. I hope she likes it.

Live a long and happy life Charlie !
