On August 24th, the opening night of the 2010 Waterloo Buskers Festival took place in downtown Waterloo.

Local dignitaries and sponsors ranging from the world of city politics, media and business declared the festivities officially opened for all to see and participate.

A lot of work goes into the planning and logistics of this important annual . Buskers from as far as Australia have come to present their show - all free of admission but a money donation is the custom if you've enjoyed the show. I sure did and I did my part - don't forget - this is how they make their living.

As a photographer, it was a self imposed challenge and I must admit that this is the most satisfying gallery of street performer scenes i've ever captured.

Oh and if Guy Laliberté from the Cirque du Soleil would like for me to tag along one of his shows, i've got no objections ! :)
